The first several years of Kyle’s childhood were fairly uneventful. The only noteworthy accomplishment during this time was a paper plate based steering wheel art project that earned him an honorable mention in the county fair. Things only started to get interesting for Kyle when he was 9 years old. This is when he began to don a cardboard box helmet and ride various wheeled contraptions down a dangerous hill known as Devil’s Backbone. This earned him notoriety and fame in the local elementary school. Kyle’s celebrity fades quickly, and as he enters middle school he transforms into someone completely different. Instead of a daredevil he is now known as a veritable bad-ass. Long hair, baggy clothes, and an air of superiority follow him where ever he goes. The summer after 8th grade Kyle leaves home to go on tour with Sepultura and Gwar. On the road he learns many life lessons and, surprisingly, doesn’t do any drugs. Upon his return 3 years later, everyone is astonished to see him riding a scooter and holding a framed GED certificate. He went on to earn a chemical engineering degree and then became a master chocolatier.
Kyle has only recently returned to the dangerous ways of his youth by getting behind the wheel of a rally car. Now his helmet is made of cheese. For some reason he doesn’t remember how to get back to Devil’s Backbone, but he’s still able to find plenty of gravel roads to play on.
